Focal's most accomplished loudspeaker and the summit of the Utopia range. This 4-way design centres on a high-efficiency 16" electromagnetic (EM) woofer, an 11" midrange with a high-efficiency multiferrite magnet, a 6.5" third-generation composite-cone midrange, and a pure Beryllium IAL2 inverted-dome tweeter.
The externally powered electromagnet allows the bass character to be tuned across six voltage steps, and combined with adjustable Focus Time driver alignment and the OPC+ filter, the Grande Utopia offers 1,458 possible sound-personalisation settings. Standing over two metres tall, it is built entirely in France and finished in a choice of lacquer, wood and Focal's automotive-inspired metallic colourways.
