With Vinyl Vibe Sundays, Authentic High End continues its series of curated listening sessions dedicated to discovering great music on vinyl, played on carefully selected reference systems.

For this edition, Danny Tielemans takes us deep into the funky late sixties and early seventies. A period when soul, jazz, rock and psychedelia came together to create something entirely new.

From the P-Funk mothership connection and the world of blaxploitation to rare grooves, spiritual vibes and funk-infused Hammond jazz, this session is all about rhythm, energy and great records.

James Brown helped set the movement in motion in the mid-sixties. Then artists such as Sly Stone and George Clinton pushed funk in new directions, blending it with rock and psychedelia. Jazz followed along, becoming groovier, looser and more adventurous than ever.

Danny will guide us through a carefully selected collection of original records, drawn from years of crate digging and record-shop hunting.
